In the weeks leading up to the conclusion of its third chapter, the free-to-play battle royale game from Epic Games has experienced quite a few exciting events. Skywalker Week, which began in November, brought back Star Wars elements like lightsabers and E-11 blaster rifles for a limited time. Rocket League’s Octane was made a new driveable car on the island in Fortnite’s v22.40 update last week, along with a new item and a new variation of Big Battle as an LTM.
The “Fracture” Chapter 3 closing event for Fortnite is described in a blog post on the game’s official website as a “otherworldly and surprising” social gathering. While the artwork for the event depicts a number of chrome tornadoes ripping portions of the island off its surface, with the enigmatic character Bytes clinging on for dear life in the center, there isn’t much written material for players to go on.
On December 3, 2022, at 4 PM ET, Fortnite’s “Fracture” Chapter 3 finale will begin. 30 minutes prior to the playlist starting, players can join in-progress up until 4:40 PM ET.
Any player who logs in between December 2 and December 4 will receive the Toasty Roast Emote for free, which features players toasting marshmallows over a fire, as a toast to the conclusion of the third chapter. Though Chapter 3 still has a few weeks to go, Epic Games is taking care to make those weeks engaging.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
From November 22 through November 29, Avian Ambush Week returns, bringing with it tasks with a chicken theme and increasing the number of chickens so that they are the only animals on the island. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Throughout the themed week, players can accomplish Bonus Goals to earn Level Up Tokens.
After the conclusion of Avian Ambush Week, Fortnite will once more have Bargain Bin Week. Everything on the island that accepts the currency is marked down significantly as bar counts reset each season, enticing players to spend their remaining currency. Along with new Bonus Goals for Level Up Tokens, the week will also feature its own series of missions.
Players should be sure to take use of all the available current items, such as the free Let Them Know Emoticon and XP issued in honor of this year’s World Cup, as an entirely new island is expected to result from Fortnite’s “Fracture” event.
